" KAALAI " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

Young Jeeva (Silambarasan) is the grandson of Seema of Theni. When she was five years old, she kills five persons and goes to jail. She comes out of prison turning nastier than before. She is now a hard-core 'dada' and she is feared as well as revered by people in her place, Theni, where she is engaged in all activities which the law forbids. The local police throw up their hands. A police officer, also named Jeeva (Lal), comes down heavily on Seema with all his might and cunningness and finally burns her alive.

Meanwhile, a rowdy, also named Jeeva, becomes a thorn in the flesh of police officer Jeeva and he is after his daughter Vedika, who loves Seema's grandson, a tough guy in the college. While Vedika wants to keep the rowdy off her with the help of Seema's grandson, he wants to take revenge on her father for killing his grandmother. How he fulfils his task is the crux of the movie.

" BHEEMA " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

Sekhar(Vikram) son of an honest police man grew up in small town Rameswaram, admiring the dare-devilry of a local ‘goonda’ Chinna (Prakash Raj) , a man who was daring at the same time caring. Right from his childhood Sekhar’s role- model was the kind hearted Chinna who later became a top gangster with human emotions even though he is an extortionist and a killer. Sekhar joins Chinna’s gang, and climbs up the ladder to be his most trusted henchman. Meanwhile a turf war breaks out between Chinna and the dreaded don of the city Periyavar (Reghuvaran) and his sons.

Thanks to brawn and brains of the one-man fighting machine called Sekhar, Chinna and his gang is able to lord over the city which results in a gang war with the Periyavar gang. The new police commissioner (Ashish Vidyarti) declares his own private war against the gangs and forms an elite group of young police officers to exterminate the gangsters through carefully planned encounter killings. Meanwhile Sekhar falls in love with Charu (Trisha), which complicates things further. All this leads to a bloody shoot out in the end resulting in total mayhem, as the rule of the law takes its course.

" RENDU " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

Police is behind a killer who murders three people. All three of them in quick succession after informing the police. The mystery surrounding these murders puzzles the police. CBI officer Bhagyaraj zeroes in on Madhavan and arrests him when he was roaming with 'uncle' Vadivelu and 'lover' Reema Sen.

An investigation, however, reveals that Madhavan is not the culprit and that the real killer is someone else who is blind. Then the police get information that the killer is after a Bombay industrialist.

What made the culprit commit the murders, what happens to the innocent Madhavan and whether the police could save the Bombay industrialist are the questions which rest of the film answers.

" PULI VARUDHU " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

It stars with a dream. The dream of the hero Ramesh shows a mishap in a marriage hall. The ‘Thirumangalyam’ falls down in the fire. The marriage is stalled. Ramesh comes forward to marry the girl. A friend is sent to get a new ‘Thirumangalyam’ but he dies in an accident. The second marriage too gets stalled. The bride is dejected and kills herself. The dream ends.

It is a dream that comes when Ramesh is traveling in a bus to attend a marriage. He ignores it as just a dream. But he is in for a shock when he goes to the marriage hall. The friend of the bride is the same girl, whom he saw in the dream as bride.

The marriage goes on without any hiccup. Our hero, meanwhile, keeps on seeing many dreams. In the dream he loves the girl, whom he saw dead in his first dream. He starts loving the girl in real life too. When the love develops and leads to marriage, he is afraid that the girl would die as seen in the dream.

" KALLORI " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

The film begins in a bus that has a lot of collage students heading towards Government Arts Collage in a small town. A set of friends are introduced as long term friends. There is a small build up to the introduction of the hero (Muthu played by newcomer Akhil), who is part and parcel of the circle. All are studying in the same class. They enter into the collage for the first time.

In the class room they see a new girl (Shobhana played by Tamanna), who is strikingly different from the lot. She looks fair. She looks sad. She is aloof. The group sympathizes for her and brings her into its fold. The girl soon becomes part and parcel of the group.

The movie goes on to narrate the collage life with fun and colour. It shows the strength of the friendship besides showing the backgrounds of the friends. Most of them are from poor background. The protagonist has an aim in his life. Being an athlete, he wants to excel in sports and get a good job through sports quota to give his poor family a new lease of life.

Shobhana, a rich girl from an upper caste feels for the boy and helps him achieve his goal. In fact every friend does the same thing but Shobhana does it with some sort of special attachment. Slowly the love develops in the minds of both but they chose to put it on the back seat for the sake of the larger friendship they share with the group. In fact the poor lovers don’t even share their feelings.

The narration moves on to a point when they are compelled by the circumstances to come out with their feelings but life has some other designs.

The story is set in a village near Ramanathapuram, sometime in the early 1980's. It narrates the care free and ruthless conduction of the protagonist (Ayyanar played by newcomer Aadi), who behaves more or less like as an animal.

His brutal journey takes a turn when he meets Alagamma (Padmapriya), a tomboyish girl. Her beauty strikes him and he manages to marry her just to have sex with her. The girl revolts against his brutality but soon changes her mind after knowing his pathetic background. She then tries to put him on the right path by her love and affection but it is too late…

Ayyanar’s past starts haunt him mercilessly. He is ostracized by the villagers. He is slowly dying. Alagamma then becomes the one and only solace to his life till the death.

Manivannan is a Tamil teacher in Jaffna,who is the owner of plenty of fertile lands and also a much respected man in the town. Fourteen members of his family get killed in an attack which follows his exit from his native town along with the only living member of his family- Jeeva to land in Rameswaram. Though Jeeva and his friends leave Jaffna in a bid to safeguard their lives, they are not too happy in Rameswaram and are eager to leave for their motherland. " BILLA " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

The storyline is well known. It’s about a hunt of a dreaded international criminal Billa (Ajith) by police. The police officer Jai (Prabhu) somehow manages to corner Billa but he kills him in the process. In a bid to unearth the whole truth of the gang he sends a mole - Billa look alike- and tries to capture the entire group through this mole.

Velu, a petty thief, successfully infiltrates into the group and helps the officer to round them up. But the unexpected death of Jai jeopardizes their efforts and puts the innocent Velu in danger.

" ORAM PO " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

Chandru (Arya) and 'Bigilu' (Lal) are close friends. Chandru is an expert in auto race and Bigilu, a mechanic is an expert in customizing the autos to run at a dream speed of 130 km/hr.

Son of Gun (John Vijay) is the chief of rival group who wants to outsmart Chandru-Bigilu group. Chandru, the race champ tries to settle his dues for his auto through a race, which is almost a cakewalk for him. He and Bigilu challenge Son of Gun to a race. And the day for race is fixed.

Bigilu meanwhile introduces Chandru to his sister running a Biriyani shop. Chandru is attracted towards her daughter (Pooja), and woos her into his fold. The affair grows stronger and ends in sex. The care free auto driver however, is not interested in long term commitment and tells it on the face of the girl. Shocked Pooja curses him and moves away from him. The champion gets distracted on the D day because of the memories of his love affair and fails in the race. He looses his auto and later his dearest friend Bigilu, who comes to know about his affair.

The sub plot of the search for the missing diamonds by a smuggler adds flavour to the proceedings. The unpredictable and fun filled climax puts everything in order.

Sridhar Vasudevan (R Madhavan) is your average, lower middleclass Chennaiite: he stretches awake in the morning to the aroma of his wife cooking in the kitchen and uncooperative children lolling in bed in their tiny house. He dresses and chugs to the bank on the local trains from Pazhavanthangal to the Beach Station. Thumbing money and checking documents all day, he eats an unappetizing but filling box of curd-rice in the afternoons, returns home in the evenings to feed his daughter and goes to bed at 11 pm.

And the routine goes on. Mundane , but then that's life.

However, his wife is not satisfied. Sangeetha, in a marvelously natural role, is only too aware of all the things they could have and don't -- because of her husband's principles.

After all, Sridhar Vasudevan cannot countenance the wrongness permeating everyday life -- from bribing the water-seller to 'adjusting' documents for a rich client of the bank he works in.

Matters reach a pitch when their daughter Varsha is refused admission into a school because of a little matter of donation -- and Sridhar Vasudevan is suddenly left with a searing sense of injustice at a society which is filled with so many means of looting that there's simply no escape for the common man who wishes to live a guileless life.

Confronted by a scornful shopkeeper who unjustly demands two more rupees for a cola -- his control snaps and mayhem begins.

Madhava Padayachi (Sathyaraj) is a big farmer at Pathrakottai, a village near Panruti. Highly respected for his humane nature, he is affectionately called Madhavar by the village folk. " AZHAGIYA TAMIL MAGAN " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

Guru (Vijay) is an athlete and business management student. Abhinaya (Shreya) is the daughter of a business baron (Ashish Vidyarthi). They meet and fall in love.

The movie goes on to show how the lovers manage to get the permission of their parents. In the meantime, a different dimension in the tale is revealed while the romantic drama is unfolding. Vijay visualizes some bizarre scenes inside his mind. The scenes are disturbing; and worse, they become true in real life.

A psychiatrist (Dr. Rudran) confirms that it is ESP power and says that the imageries visualized by Guru would actually happen sooner or later. Unfortunately Guru visualizes another scene which he would never like to see happening. Sensing a danger to his sweetheart, he runs away to Mumbai.

In Mumbai he stumbles upon a person who looks like himself. This gives him a different meaning of the horrible incident visualized by him. Before catching the man, also played by Vijay, Guru gets into an accident and the new man moves to Chennai where he is mistaken as Guru.

Stylish and carefree Prasad, the look-alike Guru, is a greedy person, who would do anything to earn money and enjoy life. He meets Namitha during his travel to Chennai. Abinaya mistakes him for Guru and gets him to her house. Sensing his strength, Prasad decides to act as Guru and marry the rich Abhi.

The real Guru comes back and tells everyone the truth. But no one is ready to believe him, as he is outplayed by the wicked Prasad at each and every move. Finally the truth prevails, but not before a tense battle between the two.

The story opens with a family with a twin children losing one. The separated boys grow up in different environments. The one grows in Chennai becomes an officer (Vasudevan) in a private investigative agency and the other grows in Dindukkal becomes a typical rusty young man (Vetrivel).

The city bred Suriya charms RJ Asin through his professional ethics. Rusty Vel is engaged in the bloody tussle with Kalabhavan Mani, who has deep rooted enmity against the family. Vasu is full of brains and smile while Vel lives with sickle and dangerous duels.

Vasu’s mother (Saranya) could not forget her lost son. She is longing to bring him back to her home. But she couldn’t find his whereabouts. The family, in which Vel lives, is so affectionate with him. Especially the grand mother (Lakshmi) is emotionally dependent on him.

RJ Asin accidentally finds Vel and informs Vasu. Vasu goes to the village and meets his brother. The family refuses to send Vel to his original family. Vasu, understanding their unadulterated affection towards Vel, agrees to give up his claim.

But he has one request. Vel should go to Chennai pretending as Vasu and live with his mother. Vasu in turn would act as Vel in the village. Vel accepts.

Vasu continues Vel’s struggle against powerful Kalabhavan Mani but with a different approach. Vasu uses his brain and investigating network instead of muscle power. The rules of the game changes, and Mani finds himself cornered.
